Whenever I'm in a public place I try to find a corner or room somewhere to be away from the other people. Even if my friends are there I still try to avoid everyone. Is this normal?

    That's definitely social phobia.

    my advice, see a psychologist about it.
    before that, you should take a few social phobia tests online. They really help.
