Is it normal to be afraid to tell this to your best friend?

So, I've got a crush on my best friend, and I'd really like to tell him that. But there are two things I'm really afraid of. 1. He doesn't seem like he's looking for romance so he'd maybe reject me.
And 2. If he rejects me, our best friendship woukd dissapear.
I've been thinking a lot, to tell him or not?
All I'm thinking of is to kiss him every time I see him.
Please help me, never dated before and have no expirience, so any help would be appriciated.

This happened with me. We got together and in the end we did break up after 6 months, but this only made our friendship stronger (after a month of not talking to each other)

If you want a good push forward thought, you don't want to see them date someone else do you? Go for it :) Or leave little hints that you like him. Graze his hand or something! See how he reacts

Go for it! Whenever one friend has feelings for the other but chooses to bottle them up, it always seems like they start acting "strange" to the other person & the friendship suffers or ends. That's always been my experience.

One of my very close friends recently asked me to become his boyfriend, I haven't decided whether I should accept or not yet, but if I refused I doubt it would damage our existing relationship, because we're friends and he would understand. A true friend would not resent you being attracted to him.

go for it, him rejecting you does not deffinitly mean the friendship will end. also its not very healthy to keep hangin around some one u hav feelings for without ever letting them know
