Is it normal to be afraid to report my freinds step dad?

My freind is being physically abused by her step dad. I know that I MUST do somthing or else when she moves next week, she can die. If I don't do something, I'll NEVER forgive myself. But every time I grab the phone, I just can't dial the numbers to report him to authorites. I'm too scarred but I don't know why. There can't be any concequences if I try to stop him, can there?

    Call children and youth family services it's completely anonymous u don't need to give any of your personal info. Just do it. Don't think about it just do it

    yes you should report it if your friend is really getting hurt i think its normal

    tell your mum and get her to call the police, its understandable to be scared because this is a big thing to deal with by yourself and feel responsible for, tell your parents

    set up a secret hidden camera, film it, and take it to the police. take pictures of her bruises.

    DO NOT BE AFRAID. if someone is being abused something must be done to STOP IT.

    not sure of your age, but you might also consider talking to a counselor about this as well, even if your friend doesnt want to go.

    i'm glad you felt comfortable enough to post this.
