I'm a pretty confident 18 year old guy who is decent with the ladies, sometimes I have my not so smooth moments but everyone does. My problem is that I can set everything up so well, and then tense up and chicken out when I should be leaning in for the kiss. It's just something I get so nervous about and I always feel like I'm not going to be a good kisser. Can anyone out there maybe offer some advice to me?

    Start off the date with the kiss. Say that ending a first date with a kiss is so awkward that you want to kiss now and then we won't ruin the whole evening worrying about the kiss. Kiss her and then at the end of the date, there is nothing to stop you from getting the second or more kisses. You can do the same thing with sex. Pick up the girl drive to the closest drug store. Tell her to wait in the car because you just have to run into get some condoms. If she is still in the car when you come back out, chances are you are going to get laid that night.

    relax, as long as they're single and they like you. you're a fine kisser, everyone sucks at first but they get better

    You are putting way to much pressure on yourself. It's a kiss not a proposal. Kiss more don't worry about it so much.

    Helpful hints:
    brush your teeth and have good dental hygiene in general.
    keep a package of whisps (mini plastic "tooth brushes" with a breath bead in the middle)in your wallet or in the car. They are great and are a quick easy way to make sure you have a fresh mouth.
    unless your mouth is dry, swallow first
    use just a bit of tougn at first, see if she is good with that or seems to want more. very few people like your whole toung in their mouth

    You seem to do what I do on occasion. Plan out near perfection and flump in the end. Things like this require focus. Keep thinking about success rather than what will happen if you fail. You seem to be producing self-fulfilling prophecies.
