Is it normal to be afraid to eat red food?

I am very allergic to strawberries and when I would eat other berries it would make me very anxious, Sometimes to the point of a panic attack. Now I am even afraid to eat pomegranate or red candies. I usually avoid any red food because it makes me anxious and feel like I am going to go into anaphlaxis again if I would eat it

I think it's normal to an extent but you could be missing out on potential nutrients/minerals like, Lycopene which is found in mainly tomatoes. What you could do is bring your fears up with a doctor and get an extensive allergy test to see what you are allergic to.

In the animal kingdom, red is usually a symbol that something is poisonous. Animals tend not to eat other animals with red markings. Maybe you're picking up on that.

You don't have to eat anything you're uncomfortable with. For example, I don't eat fish because I always picture it alive and swimming in the ocean, all slimy and gross.

Or it could be that the color red just reminds you of something that could hurt you. Like strawberries. If it's not causing problems for you and your family, I wouldn't worry about it.
