Is it normal to be afraid of trains?

I saw the j-horror movie Suicide Club about perhaps two years ago, and I only saw it once. There's a scene in the very beginning that includes a bunch of students jumping in front of a train. Ever since seeing the movie, I have had so many vivid nightmares about that one scene in particular. Now I'm terrified of trains. Not the old-fashioned kind-- those are alright, I guess-- but the more modern kind of trains, like in the movie. Even the sound of a train sends chills down my spine. The sad thing is, I actually used to love trains, but now they totally give me the skeeves. Is that normal?

It's normal. I mean, there's people out there who have phobias of mustard. lol. And that even reminds me of a kid in high school who was deathly afraid of ketchup. I was totally responsible for throwing ketchup packets in his general direction because it was funny... and fascinating. Lol

Seriously, go to youtube and type "Maury Phobias" there'es one of a huge guy who was deathly terrified of peaches. Lmao

I'm scared of trains too but not sure why. I've ridden several trains, heck I used to commute to work on the train when Iived in Washington D.C. and absolutely loved it but in the past 5 years or so have become frightened of trains. Not like a crippling fear just enough to know I don't prefer them especially the horns

I dont like trains, any train. I think the front of them look mean & scary, esp older trains. And the noise of them is creepy to me. BUT I have no idea where my fear came from. Everyone has their irrational fears, so its not "normal"... But is at the same time. If you get what Im sayin. :)
