Is it normal to be afraid of rejection from a crush?

So theres this guy that ive known for like almost 4 years now. I like him, and I think he likes me but im not sure. Hes really nice and I get this funny feeling when I talk to him. It usually seems like he might like me. I would really like to ask him to go out with me, but Im afraid he will say no. Is that normal?

    Fear of rejection is common in loads of people... The first girl I asked out was someone I'd really like for a few months, and the worst thing that happened is that she said no. I moved on pretty quick, so I strongly advise you to tell him how you feel - might even get a good relationship out of it.
