Is it normal to be afraid of mirrors?

I'm afraid of mirrors. It might be from horror movies I've watched, but I'm afraid I'll see something creepy behind me.

If I could Id push you into a house of mirrors with some guy dressed up as that Pennywise clown from IT inside and lock the door. You would no longer be afraid of mirrors and your new found fear of clowns would be easier to live with.

i'm not afraid of something behind me.... i'm afraid of my own reflection acting on its own (like the mirror isn't really a mirror at all, but a doorway into some weird dimension, and my reflection is actually an evil doppelganger or something)

I'm afraid of that too! I have a huge mirror in the wall in front of my bed. When i lay down i keep looking at it to make sure my "reflection" doesnt get up....

Oh my God, ever since a girl at daycare told me the "Bloody Mary" myth, I can't be in a room with a mirror in it unless the light is on. Well, it's gotten a little better, but it still freaks me the fuck out. Also, every single horror movie where they close the medicine cabinet and the zombie is RIGHT BEHIND THEM hasn't helped much.

But yeah, you're not alone my fellow mirror-phobe.

  • Not normal. But if it doesn't interfere with your life then I wouldn't worry.

Sometimes this happens to me too but only right after watching a movie involving that kinda thing. So I gotta say not normal.
