Its amazing how at ease carrying pepper spray/knives/a gun makes you feel. Every time I go into a parking garage at night I've got my pepper spray ready, and my gun is in the car. You never know, I mean these things don't just happen to people in lifetime movies.

I think every woman has this fear! Carry pepper spray, like I do!

Like others have said it's good to be attentive and cautious about your own safety. But at the same time if you are feeling unsafe all the time and are jumpy about this then this is not normal healthy protective but a phobia. Only you know which it is.

it's definitely a good thing to be cautious. i'm 18 and almost got raped by a 46 yrs. old guy recently. luckily he backed off when i told him to. but i wish i'd been more cautious of him..he'd always seemed nice before, but still. that just shows you should always be cautious.

i'm a girl and it happens to me too...i live in a dangerous place so i'm afraid to walk alone aboveall in the dark cuz suddenly someone might come out and rape me and no one would realize what's going on...so i usually avoid to hang out alone...and to dress up in a provocative way. i dress up as i was a nun and ask my bf to come with me
