Is it normal to be afraid of birds

It's called Ornithophobia :-)

You need to get hold of that book: Bird talk. It teaches you how to talk to birds. Nothing complicated. Just simple phrases like: "How are you this morning?" (You may not know it but birds are morning creatures). Or helpful phrases like: "I hear there are some fat worms to be gotten in that meadow across the highway." Now once you learn a few bird phrases you will get to know our winged friends a little better and lose your fear of them. It sure worked for me! So run down to your local book store and get a copy of this wonderful book. If they don't have it in stock you must insist that they order it post haste. Tell them that you heard about it on IIN!

Owls are the devil

I don't like birds either. I can't tell their emotions so that's why I think. I have a ball python (beginner snake) and I can tell if he's happy tired or upset. All by how he reacts when I take him out of the cage. Unhappy he just wants in his cage and he seems very Set on it and active abt it.

At risk of sounding like a faux hard ass, I would like to say that there is very little out there that scares me. Never been terrified of snakes or spiders or heights or death. But ever since one terrible experience, I've been horrified of birds. And there have been plenty of terrible experiences involving birds since the first one. My friends make fun of me because I'm 6'3 and 230 lbs, but scared shitless of birds.

Ohmygodd I am terrified of birds!!! Like no lie whatever it is and wherever it is I freak out and like almost cry!!!! Lol it's kinda funny though (:
