Is it normal to be afraid of balloons?

I am deathly afraid of balloons.
I cant stand being in a room with one, and I'll freak out if someone even has a deflated one in their hand. If it pops around me I'll scream and almost cry... I just and so afraid of them, and no one else has this fear that I know. Is it normal?

My friend has this fear as well. I think it's normal. You may get a few laughs but nothing terrible.

Yeah, I think BlackRose is right. I watched a talk show once and it was about unusual fears. I remember someone there had a fear of sunflowers. Don't feel bad if you have a strange phobia. I think everyone's afraid of something.

  • Yes, it's normal. There's practically almost a fear for everything, my physics teacher was terrified of cotton wool balls for no real reason, no joke.

    Normal.
