Is it normal to be afraid/nervous to answer even your friends calls?

I don't know what it is about me but i don't like answering calls. Don't get me wrong, i LOVE it when people call me(well.. people i like.. lol). But i can't seem to answer when they call! Even when it's one of my friends or my best friend! Like i get so nervous when they call me that i'm almost afraid to answer. Like this one guy who i gave my number to called me, but i didn't answer at first. He asks why. I say cause i'm too nervouse to answer. Now usually i dont tell people this, i would just make up some excuse like it's too late or something. So he tells me he'll try calling me again- he calls.. and i reluctantly anwer this time. We start talking for a while (well he was talking the whole time lol, i was too nervouse to think of what to say) but then i get this super annoying pulsating headache! Like all my blood just rushed to my head. TTwTT

And the stupid thing is that i have no problem answering one of my friend's calls who i have a crush on! But i guess it's cause we talk regularly..

I'm the same way. Talking on the phone gives me anxiety...and I seldom do it.
Before I talk with anyone I have to prepare myself for the call.
I love talking in person and texting. Hate talking on the phone. There's uncomfortable pauses and you can't see their expressions and I find it boring..even if its a best friend or boyfriend.

I feel the exact same way. Just that inability to see the person but hear their voice and being unable to judge their expressions... Text feels much safer and in person you feel more on par with them as you're face to face.
For work experience I always I will do everything - but have an aversion to phones! xD It can be a real hindrance sometimes!

Seriously?... That sounds a little like technophobia...

Not technophobia. - I'm similar but I love technology.

I personally hate talking on the phone. It makes me, to be honest, more anxious than talking to people in person.
