Is it normal to be abused for wearing sunglasses 24x7

I wear sunglasses when I step out of my house. I wear them everywhere and at all times. Even during the night. My eyes are sensitive to dust and pollen. A normal pair of glasses just won't do for me.

Because of my habit, many people automatically assume I'm a bad person. I get frisked extra by mall security. Many people are rude to me.

I am feeling discriminated for my choice of eyewear.

    I have multiple questions.

    First, what sunglasses are you wearing that keep dust out of your eyes? Do they have shields on the sides, like goggles? Don't those get sweaty? I've worn normal glasses and sunglasses, they don't block anything. Even if they hug the face a bit more, dust just flies right up in there.

    Why don't you just save up and buy one of those glasses that automatically darken when you're outside, but become clear when you're inside? Wouldn't that save you a lot of grief?

    I'm also sensitive to light and sometimes wear sunglasses at home. I can see why it would be a problem, people are easily disturbed by anything that's out of the ordinary, even when it's completely harmless. Sucks but but when you're autistic, you get used to being treated like a menace for the pettiest stuff really fast.

    Why not wear NORMAL glasses? If its dust and pollen you cant stand why not normal glasses or safety glasses?

    Wearing sunglasses when it's not appropriate to do so tells other people that you are hiding your eyes on purpose. Ie guess that you are high.
