I was sleeping and I smelt something funny something sour and I woke up and about four inches from me was a spider. Alive not smashed or anything. I told my mom and friends they said I was weird but I think spiders have a sour smell, is that wierd?
Maybe you just farted and the smell woke you up.

Hi im a doc. Synaesthesia. Google it, u may have it. It's a disorder (or superpower if you like) where stimulation of 1 sense results in perception by another sense. Eg. You would experience a taste if you hear a certain sound, or you would see an image when you taste something, or in your case you experience a smell when u see a certain image. If it bothers you, go n c a neuropsychiatrist.
You must have the ability to smell something that really dont exist. Im going along with everybody else, YOU FARTED.
if it only happened once think logically; none of the other spiders you've seen have smelled, why would this one? i think you just smelled a random smell and saw a spider so subsequently you associated it with your fear for spiders. besides every person swallows spiders in there sleep i think its like 10 or 11 a year something like that! I'm not too sure on the numbers, though. I bet you've never woken up with that sour tates in your mouth!

Errr yuk yuk yuk I'm not too fond of spiders, so I won't be getting that close for a sniff any time soon.
That particular arachnid could have been crawling in something awful and sour smelling though, therefore it smelled.
If there was nothing else with a noticeable smell in the room, then the stinkiest thing in there was probably the spider.
