I can put up a metal wall in my head and block just about any person or thing. Example I havn't talked to my mom for monthes(divorced parents). And there was this girl i really like but she ended up dating someone else and he told me to not talk to her. So i blocked her and him out. It's not hard to block out the people either. And the weird part was that the girl liked me too. She said "I love you". Idk. Amy comments can help I guess. Thanks.

    If You can block ppl out then why is it you are bringing up those people?

    You know...I know what you mean.I've being raped from my step-bro from 7 to 13 years old.Due to this when my mother found it out she started getting me to see a psychologist for some time.But when I told the Dr. that I was able to block him in my head and don't feel anything at all she said that it's not normal.I don't believe that many people can do this, but she told me that this is:
    a) scary
    b) no good and normal.
    Unfortunetally even if she tried to make me feel something when I was thinking about him I just didn't want to and din't do so.
    I know exactly what you mean. It is like they cease to exist in your heart and thoughts.Like they are starngers or something.Like you see them and...there's nothing to feel.I cannot describe the "emptiness" of your feelings about these people but you just do feel so.

      What a crappy psychologist.

      It is normal. Your brain learns to do that to protect you from the negative feelings. Overtime some people can learn to control the process

      That's why I will never trust a psychologist over a psychiatrist

    I mean anyone can block people out of their minds if they really wanted to.. But you must just be extra good at it.
