Is it normal to be a woman who hardly has any "girlfriends"

I'm a 22 year old woman and a recent college grad. I've never really been a social butterfly except when I was a very young girl. I can't stand to be close to most women because I find them to be catty, immature, gossipy, and way too ruled by their emotions. Also, because of these things I find most women way too hard to trust. I wouldn't really consider myself a tomboy, but I have more guy friends than girlfriends. Do any other women prefer the company of men to other women? (in a platonic way, of course.)

    No. I have all girl friends, and they aren't like how you described at all. But I have to agree, there are a lot of bitches like that.

    Guys on the other hand, ones I know where I go to school, they're assholes and players and perverts.

    I guess you could say I hate both genders.

    I like those girls who get on better with guys. They always seem more down-to-earth with a more independent personality. They're usually the girls I fall for too :)

    Me too. I find that women are bitchy and all they want to do is talk about sex and bitch about people behind their backs. I way prefer guys - they are so much more easy going and funny. I do have a couple of close girl friends though, just two. They are great and have more interesting things to talk about than slag other people off.

    I learned by experience that women can back stab you without any remorse.
    I'd rather be alone then have a fake friend.
