Is it normal to be a vegetarian?
Is it normal to be concerned enough about animal welfare and the environment to become a vegetarian?
Some people tell me I'm silly, or I'm just going through a phase. But I've wanted to be a vegetarian since I was 12, and I waited because I was too young and needed lots of animal protein still. And I was so happy when I finally became one. I don't think it's a phase, and I'm pretty sure I'll be a veggie all my life.
I've never actually met anyone who supported me, so I'm beginning to doubt if people even think it's 'normal' to be a vegetarian.
