being vegan is like wearing a short skirt ... you gotta WEAR it ! , not keep pulling it down always paranoid its slipping up etc :)
I'm vegan too and can relate in some past ways , just be very confidant... anyway the big plus is your more beautiful , wont get cancer and have nothing to feel any shame about :)
this is exactly true :):) well said.
me am born vegan , so cant comment on the social aspect since its common in my culture ~ but staying in canada I had no negative comments from friends, only respect.
i don't see why you cant eat lunch with friends tho.. maybe they think your a snob! not a food snob hehe
Geting cancer from meat is as likley to happen as geting cancer from eating a rubber duck
I was a vegan once and people acted like jerks, even my parents. They thought I was trying to be all "holier than thou" or something. It pissed me off.
They should respect your food preference, but maybe you could still eat with them, just bring your own food?
Yes. But that's fine. Stick to your morals. Also you should call them on their shit and make sure they know that they are murderers.
I'm a vegetarian. And I get the same thing. My friends look at me weird and they think Im a veg because I want to be cool or get thin. None of which is the case though.. I just tune them out.
You are smarter than they are are. You do what you want. I eat very little meat and never red meat.
you can't really be an animal lover when you eat them. That's so fucking hypocritical. You wouldn't eat your cat, so why is it any different if you eat an animal you didn't know?
People who are against veganism only act that way because they either don't understand it or they feel guilty about their own choices.
It's stupid and immature to judge someone based on their diet. It's just a preference.
Ugh! Sorry but just eat meat. Even major animal lovers eat it. I'm one of the biggest animal lovers
Vegan or not people thought I was a food snob any ways because I dispised fast food and other junk food.
I tried vegen food, it's nice, but to improve on vegan food, normalise it, don't make it weird. I recommend for a stroganoff sliced mushrooms, 2 teaspoons of worcestorshire sauce, a tablesp. of tomato puree, 1 tablespoon of Vegemite, water, rice milk mixed with some wine vinegar and barley flour (3 ingredients replace sour cream), and serve with fettucini, this will taste great, normal, and I'm sure it will taste meaty.
U can still have lunch w them, just bc u dont eat what they do ir doesnt mean u can hang out st lunch, u vegan snob!!
Yep. That happens sometimes, dude. I always manage to solve it by chatting with people a bit and make them understand the main issues.
they don't know the true reason why some people chose to be vegan or vegetarian. they are the ones with their ass up their heads. they are ignorant selfish, and inconsiderate to others feelings. ignore what they say or think of you because you are the smart one. it is someone's personal choice and decision to be a vegan or meat eater. it does not mean you are a food snob. and remember you owe them nothing. you don't have to give them an explanation for why you are vegan. if anything they should give you reasons why they think you should eat meat.
sorry, but i posted this question for fun, (comments won't be taken seriously)
they're used to the fact that i'm vegan @ work now, and no longer think i "don't eat anything"
i'm even one of the most productive employees/lots of energy
but @godly...f*ck you, you c*nting c*nt!!! ;PPPPP
Seriously though, why are you trying to be vegan anyway? You can't deny that your food was once alive at some point.
When anyone is Picky about food people treat them like a snob. Normal.
I used to know a few...& truthfully I thought it was sorta stupid...but then I learned it was part of their religin, and got over it
