Is it normal to be a stoner but hate lazy potheads?

Very normal, I'm the same way. I smoke weed and go exploring nature, listen to music, take pictures (which usually end up way cooler than if I had taken them sober), play the piano, write poetry or short stories and ideas down. Very rarely am I so stoned that I can't do something productive. Stoners who just sit around and veg are sometimes interesting to talk to though, and I can understand how if you don't have something to stimulate you, it's easy to get lazy if you're high and just sort of get lost in your own head.

Probably one of my favorite things is to come home, whacked out of my tree, and cook my parents supper. I always cook the best shit when I'm high, one night I made chocolate covered peanut butter fudge from scratch when I had never made it before and my parents were legit like "Holy shit, this is the best fucking fudge we've ever eaten."

I felt like a boss.

I think there are some variables to consider here like the smoker's personality, brain chemistry, and of course what strain of herb they are smoking.

I think you answered your own question. When it comes to anything you could be identified with by others whether it be a hobby, a habit, an occupation, a religion, it's going to infuriate you when people who do that exact same thing paint a bad picture of it because people are going to start assuming you're like that too.

I was feeling the same thing right before I found this thread. I get shit done while I smoke. I am in college, working full time and just got into a new apartment and bought a motorcycle on my own.

Bud seems to open your mind and allow you to see things in different points of view and consider everything. Much more focused. Plus you feel great! I have a lot of social anxiety and when I smoke it makes things easier, makes me not as self conscious and much more relaxed.

It is completely normal, I feel exactly the same way.I hate the term 'stoners' because it is associated with people who sit around smoking weed and making nothing of their lives.When in fact most people smoke weed to stimulate themselves into been creative and to relax. I'm surprised there hasn't been some tirade yet saying how weed is bad for you and causes mental health problems, cancer and all sorts of other bullshit. I have personally accomplished a lot while high and find it very useful for some health problems I have had.

Yeah because my ex would come home from work to a hot meal and a perfectly rolled spliff, he worked all day and we were always busy but smoked a lot of weed, although I have to say when I smoked it the only time I felt like moving was to go get loads of munchies. I suppose his weed intake was a lot bigger than mine, plus he had a joint before he took and passed his driving test. So I would say yeah you can smoke weed but it if your not a lazy person u wont be when your stoned. I think :/

I agree. I hate smoking with lazy people. Its boring and irritating. Whenever I smoke I want to go on adventures or do something productive. Drinking does the same for me. I don't like anything that makes me tired or lethargic nor do I understand why anyone would want to.
