Is it normal to be a slave in your family?
I feel like I'm everyones maid in my house.
My mom is at school all the time, even in the summer, so she can't help me when my sisters wont listen to me. (Mind you, they are 15 and 16)
I try and get my sisters to clean up after themselves, because whenever my mom comes home, she screams about how dirty the house is, and she always blames it on me, because my sisters say it's my fault.
And when we all have to clean the house, I get stuck with most the work.
My mom has gotten better on not blaming me, but nothing has changed.
Example: Today, we all had to clean the fridge, so I got the bins that you store food in, my 15 yr. old sister got shelves, and my other sistet got cleaning the entire fridge when everything is out.
I take out the 3 bins, take out all the food, and wash them. I ask my sister to wash the shelves, and I go start making my breakfast.
She complains about taking out food, so I help take out an entire shelf of food, and let her do the rest.
She washes some of them and goes on the computer. Cue other sister washing inside. Now, I have no idea how to put the shelves back in, and I plead for 20 min for my sister to put them in cuz the foods getting warm. After getting my mom to get out of her class and threaten her too, she puts them in wrong. Another 10 min of begging, she changes them. I ask her to help put the food in, she calls me a bitch and goes back on the computer.
My other sister, she was holed up in her room and then decided to take a long shower right as my mom texted her to help me.
Now they're both talking about me badly and crying that they're grounded.
I'm going to be a senior, and my bday is coming up in a coupla days, but moving out isn't an option when the only open apartments are far away from my school.
