Is it normal to be a quiet person and called weird for being quiet?

In 4th grade we had the quiet kid. Last day of school we found out he's deaf.

Im the same way but can be outgoing too. But yeah being quiet is fine for me but some people think ur stand offish because of it

Confucius said a wise silence is better than a foolish utterance. As you said some people just need to fill the air with talking. I have a friend like yo and sometimes we drive to a place and park. We put the tail gate of my truck and sit and just enjoy being close. Sometimes we talk and other times we just enjoy. I think you are perfectly normal but then most people think I am a little weird for being so quiet. I guess the message is you are not alone and I would rather be with a friend like you than with someone who talks and talks with no point or purpose.

Sounds like the same type of situation I am in. Don't let it get to you, some people are just extremely confident in their words and will say anything to get a specific type of reaction, but it is usually all asinine.

Theres nothing wrong with being quiet : some people think its weird, but thats totally normal. People mistaking silence for somebody being unstable...not so much.
