Is it normal to be a misanthrope?

People just suck. And our society sucks...you have to be constantly happy and upbeat, or else people hate you.
Fuck kindness, fuck being nice, and fuck the human race.

I totally understand what you mean, i've been going through similar experiences, but hopefully we all know how wrong constant misanthropy is. As a general rule, if you let yourself be consumed by hatred, you will not have a happy life. Not to mention that the mentality is a very simplistic and selfish one; the hatred isn't justifiable. There are many disturbed folks, but there are also millions of people just like you, whose feelings and thoughts are just as real as yours.

I guess you're just not a people person. Nothing wrong with that. I have days when I really don't feel like being all "happy" with everyone. It's normal. And it's true. Some people aren't worth your time, because realistically speaking, not everybody is nice.

I mean, you can't always see eye to eye with everyone. And sometimes people have that kind of vibe that might rub you wrong. It's normal to feel that way. But I think you should still search for the good things in everyone. You don't have to like someone to show them respect.

I'm with you OP. People all around suck. You should watch this movie called Rampage. It's pretty awesome and he makes some good points in the end of the movie about people.

Good people sometimes do stupid things and you may not notice them. It happens, we aren't perfect. Don't be afraid to let people surprise you every now and then.

Sounds like your hangin with the wrong people! Having said that, it's hard to meet decent people these days. People can be so shallow.

I can understand your rejection of people. Their behavior can leave a lot to be desired. I would not concern myself with being a social butterfly at this late date, however. Those who like you will show you and those who don't will not. Their loss. Meanwhile, focus on making your life brilliant. We are not here for moronic bullshit. We are here for a higher purpose.
