I'm 18 and I've only had one boyfriend in 9th grade which wasn't really a relationship. I don't really have that many friends in my high school and I get nervous around a lot of people I don't know. I really want a relationship but I'm shy and don't really put myself out there I guess. I'm scared to go to college b/c I'm nervous about not making any friends. Is this normal ?
Your perfectly fine. I'm 19 and I'm in the same boat as you I was afraid to go to college but a good friend told me don't base your future off the people you try to keep base it off of what you love. If people don't take the time to exploit your inner beauty and your personality there not worth befriend someone like you. Just trust yourself and it will all work well for you in the end.
Nothing's wrong here. You're just probably extremely shy (I used to be one). You are going to be just fine. Just live your life today. Don't worry about afraid making friends. You'll end up just fine like me. I was very quiet when I was in college. I don't know how I did it, but now I have wonderful friends and no longer quiet nor shy.
You are probably a very shy person but high school is a very awkward place and time in someones life. What you are experiencing is not rare among teenagers, and I believe that once you graduate and go to college things will become less tense, and the awkwardness of people and you peers won't be so strong. I was like this in high school, but once I graduated, I told myself I wanted to come out of my bubble, and I did. High school, is awkard. Don't sweat it. When you get to college, things will change. I assure you.
