You're normal for not acting like it's the most precious thing you have to give up, but you should want to have it be a good experience.

I'm not saying you have to be in love or in a relationship, but I think that you should make sure that it's with someone who will treat you with kindness, dignity, and respect. It's how you are treated afterwards that sometimes has more of an impact on you than the moment itself.

I'm a guy, but I would say it's normal to feel this way if you don't care nearly as much as those around you. I would warn against wanting to 'get it over with.' That's an over-correction. Try to remember how much you've changed over the years and imagine how much you will change in the future, and try not to do anything you'll regret by the time you do meet someone you really adore.
