Is it normal to be a female and hate kids?

I work at a place where I see a lot of families with small kids. Everyday I am so thankful that I am not one of the parents to those kids. Most people I know (especially girls) think that kids are soo cute and fun, but I just don't see it. People I know are already getting pregnant and married, and are in such a rush to start a family. I just really dislike kids, don't have any desire to have my own, and I can't see how anybody would. (I'm a 19 year old female btw)

    You are normal.
    It's irritating when people tell you that you only think that because you're young; that you'll change your mind when you get older... Which is total bullshit because you probably won't. Ignore those people (women) because arguing with them only makes them try harder to convince you you're wrong. Trust me, I've experienced your frustration for years.

      Thank you I get so sick of people who are like well you wont feel that way when you have your own. I dont have a void in my life, Im not irresponsible in sex and another thing I dont need to have a kid to have a man commit to me.

    I am 23 and I have hated kids since I was 8. No joke. They annoy me.

    Ugghhkk. And parents always look so washed out and miserable. Then their marriages fall apart and the little shits just sit around screaming about stupid shit. Im so glad I never had kids. I would get me tubes tied if I could afford it!!!

    The sad thing is that most people who SHOULDNT be procreating- are the ones procreating. Just sayin.

    not every woman has an inherent motherly instinct. nothing wrong with not wanting kids. i have 2 girls and they are the loves of my life....but i despise most other children.

    I hate people ask me if I want to adopt a child since I am married with no kids and over 40. Why I want to do that? I will end of being arrested by CPS for hating to be with them. I will try to manage all the issues if the kids are products of mine and I have no choice, but why do I want to adopt a child or foster kids? People really don't understand it was good for me not to have a child since I have no desire to have a kid. just thinking about small kids living in a same house depresses me. I am glad that a majority women like to have kids and do so volunteerly.

    I hate most of them too. Not the sweet innocent ones. I hate the whiney spoiled as brats. Most are greedy, selfish, begging all the time, snotty noses, crying like little bitches about the least little thing. They know that will get them sympathy from the punk ass mamas. They think their cuteness will get them out of anything. I especially hate the crybabies. I wish I could slap the hell out of them. Or train them for a good week. Give them a good whipping or two. They would be perfect angels. Id rather have a puppy any day.

    However, you don't have to go around telling people you "hate" kids just so that they won't associate you with the breeders.
    Just relax.
    You know you aren't into them, and that's all that matters.

    Ur only 19 so maybe u r just not ready. It can always change with age but if not then o well. But u should feel love for a child before you dislike them because u wer one b4!

      Bullshit. Likes and dislikes change with age, but something as strong and inherent as the lack of love for children normally doesn't.

      I didn't choose to be a kid, as much as I enjoyed my childhood, yet when I look back all I can think of was "Fuck, how did my parents put up with my bullshit all that time? I would have killed myself."

    it's quite normal to dislike kids, however when you have your own your views will change and considering you are only 19 you might not have the same view in 10-20 years :)
