Well we have the childish view which is indeed very sweet next to the realistic view. Republicans think with the mind and democrats think with a heart. So maybe you are attracted to this type of intelligence. Democrats will say lets give all our money away and the republican will say but we "need money for this, this and this. Liberals also want to forgive everyone for everything so that includes rapist, pedophile, killers. A republican would most likely say hang them for it will be safer for the rest of us and they made a choice to rape, molest children. Though I think things like killing will always be debatable given the reason for the crime. So we have the more forgiving party and the more concrete mindset. Maybe you do not want someone who is so wish washy. A republican believes rules are rules. A democrat has no care for any of those rules. Why many conservatives and conservative values are religious and traditional.

Republicans are prosecution and democrats are the defense. Not everyone is guilty and not everyone sent to the stand is innocent. Though I think most of the people taken to court are guilty.

Hmm... I would argue that if things ever got serious with a Republican guy, then your differing political viewpoints would get in the way of a smooth running relationship. Most couples have the same or similar viewpoints - it's all part of the compatibility thing.

Yes, and I'll explain why. Incoming huge generalizations:

Conservatives are more likely to have a "protect myself and my close family, to hell with everyone else in the world" mentality, whereas left-leaning people are more likely to have a "let's take care of everyone" mentality. The conservative mentality can be attractive to women because that attitude of putting self-preservation at the fore was more likely to result in success and survival back in caveman times. Seeing as what we are evolutionarily adapted to find attractive is still based one what was needed in caveman times, a lot of people today as still attracted to self-preservation traits even though they are arguably less important now. Conservatives also have the advantage of being more likely to be rich.

I think you'd be unwise to rule someone out simply because they vote Democrat. The political line in America is so blurred that there are Democrats who think more like Republicans and Republicans who think more like Democrats. And, of course, Democrats represent evolutionarily attractive traits too (even if they aren't the traits you personally find attractive).

I think both sides are wrong. We need balance and these parties go against it. Democrats are loving but not always very logical. Republicans are logical but not always the most feeling people. Maybe you just admire intelligence. Its all brain vs all heart. You need both a heart and a brain to function. Maybe you see democrats are wusses and republicans are as big strong men. Since republicans believe in justice, order and tradition. Democrats believe in peace, love, and acceptance. While republicans might not always be the most accepting they probobly know how to get shit done. However democrats might point out some things they neglect are things that would help for the greater good. So we need some balance. Both these systems are flawed. I lean more towards Republican though but I see that also can become corrupted. I am not fully for republicans though. I do believe in freedom of sexuality and freedom of religion.
