Is it normal to be a 18 year old girl and still never want kids

For all my life I've never seen myself with kids, never been into dolls, and if I am ever around babies/children I really don't find them cute, whilst everyone else is like 'awwwwwww' with all that baby talk, I find it silly cause babies look like babies to me shrivelled up prunes, animals are 100x cuter.

I'm an only child and have never really had like younger siblings so that might be why, I thought I would grow out of it but I haven't, I actually sort of really dislike kids.

Is this a problem? Will I ever find someone who will share the same feeling as me, or will I be alone for the rest of my life living with cats. (I love cats by the way) ;)

I'm a 19 year old girl and never want kids. I don't like babies either, and think that animals are far more cute. There are a lot of females who never want kids and never have kids. It's fine.

Totally normal. There is no need to try to force yourself to feel that you should want something because majority of people want it and they lack the ability to imagine that someone can have different desires. It also doesn´t have to be age-related, even if you never want to have kids, there is no reason to feel inferior to those who feel the need to reproduce. And it also doesn´t mean that you have to be alone. I am in a long-term committed relationship with the most wonderful woman I have ever met and neither she nor me want to have children and I am pretty sure that it will never change (by the way, I am twice as old as you). Enjoy your life and do not let others impose their own priorities on you.

It's perfectly normal to not want kids and be like 29. Our generation just brainwashes people that there are things we have to do. (this is one of them) do what you want and live the life you want. :)

I only wish that some people who shouldn't have ever had kids should have thought like you at a young age.
Constantly (usually at shopping centers) I see Moms abusively speak down to their own children of 5 or younger in most cases. They are the ones that should not have had kids in my view.

see, i feel like bad parenting is not more common, but is sometimes more public. some parents aren't ashamed to be seen ridiculing or verbally abusing their children, which I think is preposterous. though most of them will save the effort until they are in private. blah its a mess.

It's not entirely normal, but it's not uncommon, especially at your age. The world is open to you and your biological clock hasn't gone off, you're not looking for domestication and you're young.

Women your age should be more concerned with making lives for themselves rather than making babies for themselves. You aren't expected to be concerned about this at your age.

Both myself and my fiancé are childfree. It's totally normal and there's a large group of people who feel the same way. Check out some childfree groups on Facebook or some forums.

It's more than normal!, it's incredibly healthy and rewarding!, by not poisoning your life with those monstrosities known as babies, you are ensuring happiness throughout your life!

I'd say it's normal. I'm also an 18 year old girl and I'm in a similar situation. For me it's not that I don't want kids, it's just that I don't think I'll ever have any.

Of course it's normal. In modern society, some women just do not want children and women should not be expected to or judged.
I'm 18 and not sure myself. I have already been pregnant which resulted in miscarriage but whilst pregnant, I didn't have a clue what I was going to do!
But I have to say, when you fall in love your feelings do change. When I was in love with my ex I so wanted a baby with him at some point because it just feels right to bring a baby into this world with someone you love. But now that I am no longer in love with him, I think it's crazy. My opinion could very well change in another 10 years or so but right now, I am undecided.
So of course it's normal. Women have a choice these days, mainly due to inventions such as the pill or other contraception made specially for women.
