I'm 18, gay, in college, and never had a boyfriend or any type of romantic relationship in my life and it unfortunately it doesn't look I'm ever going to without an aid. So I was thinking of making an eharmony account or something like that. Is it normal?
Just be careful with online dating. It could be a straight woman pretending to be a gay man. You show up and she might straight rape you.
In your situation I think it is completely normal.
I have a few gay male friends, and even though we live in a massive gay community, it still is very hard to find a partner. A LOT of gay young men use the internet to find partners.
I think that's normal, yes. I live in what is known as the gayest city in Europe and we have a "gay village" in much the same way most cities have a Chinatown. Point is, even in a fairly gay city, gay people have still needed to designate an area that makes it easier to meet other gay people. Without that, the internet is the obvious choice.
Watch out for yourself, though, and bear in mind that you're going to come across (no pun intended) a lot of people who only want sex, not love.
P.S. When BlueJeansWhiteShirt talks about living in a massive gay community, she's talking about the same place as me. We live in the same city. So I can confirm what she says, and what she says kind of confirms what I say.
I have heard that there is an app called grinder for your android or IOS devices that helps gays meet up.
I'm almost 20 and I have never had a girlfriend before I have considered using the internet but just haven't really got round to it. In this day and age the internet is a perfectly normal way to meet a partner.
I don't see why not. If you are a consenting adult and you know that you need to keep yourself safe and you understand the risks, then go ahead.
