If your 20 and dont like disney movies, you are not normal and need to be farted on.
It's normal. The majority of people that say they don't watch them and people that do should grow up are people trying to act big, mature, etc. They don't realize that the majority of adults like Disney films. Take "MssMurd3r" for example, the name says it all.
Most of the Disney films have villains that puts nowaday villains to shame when compared with Disney villains. I mean, even if it's a horror/drama film/show, the main villain is not at all as evil as most of the Disney villains. Even the villain songs sound more evil and sinsister compared to the goth/emo/screamo bands that sing to try seem evil. I mean, take "The Lion King 2" for example, the song "My lullaby" is very evil and sinister. Not to mention the Huntchback of Notredam's villain song "Hellfire".
14 yes, 2 no...
I feel really, REALLY bad for those 2 people, most absolutely DEAD childhood I can imagine...
Like I said in another thread, Disney is timeless! For the most part, Disney movies are so wonderful because they can be enjoyed by adults and children alike. Kids' shows these days talk down to children, like they think kids are the dumbest beings on earth. Disney films don't. They aren't afraid to take chances with their films. If they made The Lion King these days, no way in hell would the wildebeest scene be filmed. If Aladdin was made today, Jasmine would be wearing a burka, because we all know a bare belly will scar children for life! And I betcha The Little Mermaid wouldn't even exist (too many mermaids in bras and too much octopus cleavage, dontcha know) OK, wow did I get off track there, lol.
Anyway, I think it's completely cool and normal for adults to enjoy Disney films! A good movie is a good movie, regardless of if it's animated or live-action :)
Its as normal as loving NC 17 movies while under 17. I went to nc 17 movie halls at 16 pretending to be 18.
It really depends. Do you like Pixar, Classic, or Dreamworks? Because Pixar or Classic is totally normal, they're very heartfelt, but Dreamworks is absolutely 100% for kids only. It's idiotic humor. And kids are idiots, so it makes sense.
As long as you're referring to those Pixar movies or the old, animated ones, then it's perfectly normal.
But if you're talking about the crap-filled ones like Hannah montana or whatever they're making right now, then I am not sure what to tell you...
Yes.
Society has this emphasis on cartoons being for children, when in fact they were actually orginally designed for adults. However, even liking child entertainment is okay. There's nothing wrong with being amused by kid's movies, cartoons or even toys. It's fine.
Totally normal, I'm in my 40's and have a huge cartoon collection, I love some of the Dreamworks one's too.
Have you watched 'How to Train a Dragon'? I adored that film!
It's okay to like Disney movies but I certainly wouldn't call it normal. I mean how many of your friends like disney movies?
Just do what you feel, it's the beauty of being an adult.
Its normal. I'm 17 and I still enjoy the hell outta them. They're timeless ; everybody loves them! Theres nothing wrong with that.
I enjoy Disney movies. They were an important part of my childhood growing up and I wouldn't trade that for almost anything. I have a passion for artwork, and I still enjoy cartoons to this day. I'll be 21 years old this year and if anybody says I'm not normal for liking them, I could not care less. Either their inner child is dead, or they have some kind of complex where they think watching cartoons is immature.
They are wrong either way, as there is all kinds of adult humor in Disney movies and even most good cartoons. Why? Because that is the way the makers, who I might point out are ADULTS, designed them. It makes it a little more bearable for the parents who often have to watch them 1000 times over and over again because their kids are obsessed. You know how kids get :)
I will love watching cartoons/Disney movies with my kids someday if chance happens that I ever have any.
Definitely. I still love Disney movies too. I even know people older than 20 who still like to watch them.
