I'm 19 and all the relationships I've been in were friends zones (not my choice). I've never had a girlfriend and before you all say you're a douche, let me tell you that I want a girlfriend because of the companionship and wanting a girl to love me as I do her. I'm in my first year of college and I've only gotten to kiss 1 girl. I hate how people keep saying "it'll happen" or "you'll find the right girl". I'm not desperate but I fear of never finding someone or finding someone but end up in another friend zone relationship.

    By todays standard of normality, I would say no. Do I think that's Ok? Yes. I think young people rush into sex too early, you're only 19 years old, there is still a whole lot of living left for you to do. Don't search for love so hard. Follow your heart, listen to yourself, not to others. If you want to find a girl then look at what you might be doing wrong. Why are girls friend zoning you? Figure out who you are and look for a girl that is right for you, and go for it.

    Im 18 i have never even had a girlfriend im happy that im still virgin i would of course like to have a girlfriend but i can wait...

    Dude let me tell you I lost my virginity at 22 and I was a lot happier with life when I was a virgin. After it happened I ended up getting into a huge mess of emotions and pain and haven't really got my life on track. I'm not saying sex will do that, by all means its wonderful, but I'm saying don't worry about it and live your life to its fullest while you're young and single.

    I'm pretty much the same as you. I'm 19 and haven't so much as kissed a girl yet.

    Don't feel like it's selfish to want a relationship. After all from puberty onwards we are hard wired to try and find a mate. So I agree that people shouldn't call you a douche for wanting a partner.

    I'm nineteen, I haven't been in a proper relationship and I am a virgin. Although I have had many oppurtunities, I still haven't had those things simply because I don't try to achieve them. I'm one of those lazy people that isn't really in to making effort to achieve those things, but it sounds like you are.

    My opinion for you is that if you want to find such a thing, then don't expect it to just come to you. You are the one wanting these things, so you are the one that has to go out of your way to find such people. Perhaps you are holding your standards for a partner higher than the type of person you can get? Look for people that would be on the same level on the scale as you, and then go for it. If you hold back too long so that people see you more as a friend than a relationship partner, then you can't blame others.
    All in all, there are bound to be hundreds of people compatable with you, you have to be the one to find the relationship, because the world isn't going to just match you up with someone magicly.
