Well I was born premature, about 2 1/2 months to be exact. Throught my whol life iv been shorter than my friends. As of 18,I'm 5,7 and to me, that's pretty short. Is this normal? I'm about to go to college and I'm scared I'm gonna be the shortest guy there too. Being short has also effected me relationship wise.
5ft7 isn't small, yeah maybe there are taller people, but there are also a lot shorter. It seems to be about average, and it's easier to find clothes to fit leg length. Richard Hammond is 5ft7
im 13 and im 6 ft, so i dont think i can help with this, but i dont like how people get picked on for being short, i dont understand why it matters how tall someone is, my best friend is short and people that give him crap usually dont have a nice day lol
being short does suck, I am only 5'9 or something, so I can understand where the poster is coming from.
There is some subconscious thing in human evolution and attraction that taller means better genetics, better provider (males) and overall attractiveness.
I wish I could be 6'4, but there is plenty of things I wish for that I will never have. Oh well.
The problem you have with your height is... you are letting it affect your confidence and self esteem.
you don't HAVE to let it do that to you.
What you need to learn how to be is... comfortable with yourself.
one man i know who comes to mind is my karate teacher from a few years ago. he isn't tall - i think he's my height or so (5'4). Do you think it matters? hell no. he's strong and confident.
