Is it normal to avoid people, and friends...

First off, I love my friends...and I would even die for some of them...
But, I sometimes avoid them for even months at a time despite still wanting to be with them. I feel guilty, blameworthy of everything. Which, in truth I am! But I cherish time alone, and this can sometimes be difficult to explain to people. Anyway, is it normal to want to be alone, away from friends, despite a love for them?

I do the same and even though i enjoy having my space it actually became a problem too because i miss out on whts new with friends. So litttle by little i guess i kinda distanced myself.

omg I could've written this! In fact, I am honestly wondering if I actually did. I think it's normal. If you enjoy your solitude - with no interruptions even from friends - then it's just logical you'll want to spend less time with even those you love.

I do this. Sometimes my friends worry something is wrong though, since "disappearing" has kind of become a habit for me, and I shouldn't do it too much because losing touch with friends is not the best way to keep them!

I do it all the time, especially during the summers. Not a really nice thing to do when they're calling to go out but I like being alone :(

Me too I haven't seen my best friend in a while but that doesn't mean I don't care about her. All of us sometimes just want to be alone..
