I've always had this strange fear of pain, i'd never stand up for myself because I was scared that i'd get beaten up for it. Is is normal?
Stand up for yourself. If you have to take a couple hits, take them. I've been in a few fights, but let me tell you, when you're in the heat of the moment of a fight, you dont feel a THING! Yeah, you bruise after and you might be sore, but it's not that bad. The pain from constantly being bullied and mistreated is way worse than any physical pain. Bruises fade, wounds heal. Just take a chance, and stand up for yourself.
Okay so I know this might sound weird and scary but you need to stand up for yourself. If you show them that your not to be messed with then they will get the hint and back down and not attempt it again.You cant spend your life avoiding pain cuz no matter what its gonna come and if you start defeating that scared feeling by standing up for yourself now then later on down the line when something jumps off you'll have the courage to deal with it. You dont want to not have any courage and then something bad happens cuz you'll just get trampled on and hurt or worse.
Go to a bar where your around alotta people, whether those people are calm and nice or there crazy and drunk.. watch how things happen.. trust me you will understand why I tell you that you need to know how to pertect yourself.
Im only 19 and Im a very shy girl and never been inside a bar but I live in a bad neighborhood and I see how people treat others when they think they wont stop them.
