Is it normal to associate eggs yolks with baby chickens?

Yeah, but it was only a potential baby chicken. It can't become a chick if the egg is never fertilized.

Yes, it is. I also think about how I'm eating an embryo. If you really stop to think about that, it seems weird. But it is normal.

baby chicks are usually yellow......yolks are yellow.... thus it would be obvious to associate the two, ever notice how some things remind you of other things? sounds normal to me.

Unless you have your own chickens it's extremely unlikely these yolks would ever be chicks.
