Is it normal to ask my girlfriend not to shave?

My beautiful girlfriend and I went on a two week camping trip and she couldn't shave. At the end I found that her having hair in her armpit (and other areas) was really hot. I'm thinking about asking her to stop shaving? Normal or no?
