Is it normal to ask about a gift that i've given to a girl?

So i like this girl, even though we are not close at all but i've known her since around 3 years.

Anyway, i figured that she likes dark chocolates so i went to a fancy local shop and delivered them to her, gave her the chocolates, said bye and drove away.

Now after a little while i get this text from her.
"that's very sweet of you, thank you very much :3 <3"

Now.... Is it okay if i ask her whether she liked the chocolates or not? (taste wise)

    just see it as a conversation starter but not obsess about it, you did a nice thing and probably she would never react negatively to it anyway. So start out the conversation asking what she thought about the chocolates and afterwards simply continue talking about other stuff.

      Yeah! I already asked her, she said that they were really fucking good... so yaaay.

      BUT I simply DID NOT continue talking about other stuff :/ unfortunately i suck BADLY at keeping a conversation going with any person.... Oh well, at least i know she enjoyed them :D

        If you ever want to have a real shot you will have to put some effort into making small-talk though. I know it seems dumb and uninteresting, and especially most guys will probably feel the same way. But in order to get to the interesting and useful stuff you will have to get through the phase where you get to know eachother.

    I'd text her back now seeing as she texted you before you made this story and several people have commented on it. Ask her if she liked them, and after she replies try to talk to her about other things and start a conversation.

        You ask her if she had liked the chocolate but don't continue the conversation about the gifts. Ask her other things.
