Is it normal to ask a girl why they put x's at the end of msgs

My "friend" she keeps putting x's(kisses) at the end of most text messages she sends me, I don't really know why and was thinking of asking her why she does this.

    I think some people do it because they think it s cute or they want to close a message with something. I doubt it has much meaning if she does it all the time

    Why would you ask it? That's just awkward. An 'x' means a kiss. Sometimes that means something, other times it doesn't.

    I always put kisses at the end of messages and posts ect. and if I don't get kisses I think that people are pissed with me. xx

      I wouldn't do it to all my female friends, not all of my female friends do it to me, which I think is good, wouldn't want confusion in the air. If I get a message with some kisses at the end of it I would reply with some just in case lol. x

    I doubt it means anything, I've recieved many texts from various girls, it just seems to be that they put it at the end of their messages.

    Unless she sends other signals, I wouldn't jump to the thought of her liking you. This particular gesture is probably common for her.
    As for why she does it, just something she got hooked on. I had a friend who used to refer to everyone as "hooker". Just a thing.

    I expect it's different country to country, but most girls here in the UK put x's at the end of messages. Usually it means nothing. It's just a habit. Typically:

    Girl to Girl texting - ends with a x
    Girl to Guy texting - ends with a x
    Guy to Girl texting - ends with a x
    Guy to Guy texting - rarely ends with a x because everyone's too afraid of seeming gay or girly (sad).

    I tend to only do it if the person I'm texting also does it.

    So I don't know, but where I'm from, it's kind of standard practice, not necessarily a declaration of love / lust.

    Personally, if I'm curious about a behavior I ask the person why they do it. However, being the blunt person that I am, it usually comes out as rude. I would suggest asking her but in a polite way.
