Is it normal to appreciate nude art?

Is it normal to really appreciate nude artwork, but at the same time feel embarrassed about looking at them. Deviantart is an amazing website with spectacular artwork, but I do not want to share my account with anyone I know because of my fear that they might look through my favorites and think I was a pervert or something. I mean, it is not all nudes, but there is a lot of them. Is it normal, or am I being paranoid and overly cautious?

    I love art and see the beauty in it. It's normal though cuz it can be a little akward when you seen looking at naked art. It's the human body though, it's an amazing thing. If anything, nude art should be more widely respected!

    Someone who almost became a girlfriend was a photographer who took a lot of nude self-portraits and had them publicly available on deviantArt. Because they were her vision as opposed to her being a model for someone else's vision, they were particularly interesting as they revealed nuances of how she saw her body.

    They were also quite beautiful. But then I think nude women are beautiful regardless of body shape. Particularly if it's someone of your acquaintance in some way. It's also kind of thrilling. I need to go and sit in a darkened room now. This damned heat is giving me a one-track mind.

    I say it's completly normal to be a little concerned about being judged by what's in your favorites. The same reason A lot of people here dont want other's to see their stories. I would probably be a little concerned about that too, except in my case, it would be nude furry art. The only reason I dont have a DA or Fur affinity account is because I cant draw people that well. Once I get results that i think are at least ok, I may get one.

      Thank you, and I agree.

      I have a DA account, but I don't upload to it much. I mainly have it so I can look at other people's great art work, which includes nudes ;)

      I have never heard of Fur Affinity...

        Kind of the same thing, but with furry art.

        if you dont know what a furry is, its a cross between an animal and a human. also known as an Anthro.

    There's a beauty in it. If your a true artist, you know the difference between art and porn- it's really easy to tell. Take for example this (MA warning but I don't think it's that bad) http://nikosalpha.deviantart.com/art/inked-245452893 or you can search on deviantArt for artistic nude

      That is a good example. She has some beautiful tattoos, and the lighting compliments them well.

    Its normal to like nude art. Many people see it for its beauty while others who are not truly moved by art, see it as something sexual. Don't be ashamed. You just see the true beauty in it.
