Is it normal to always want to fake a sicky...?

Somedays it's easier to call the boss and put on a "flu" voice and fake a sicky than it is to get in the car and drive to work.

Why is it that we'll confess to having fake illnesses, even sometimes very embarrassing illnesses, just to get out of work...?

I really enjoy my job, but it's raining outside and I'd rather stay in bed and read a book...

Is this normal...?

once in awhile is good. it gives you a day to reflect, meditate, and recharge so you can make the corporation you work for more money tomorrow!

I hear ya! I have done that many times in the 20 years I have been working. I think most people have done that a few times at least.

I think that is terrible. When people call in for no reason it puts strain on managers, coworkers, and budgets. Someone needs to be paid overtime to fill your spot, or others have to work harder to cover your share of work. You already get 1-2 days off a week, plus afternoons or mornings depending on your shift. You should not call in unless you are actually sick.

Very normal, nothing better than relaxing and having a free day to yourself. All the time, no.
