Is it normal to always get what you want and need?

My friends told me the other day that they had a discussion while I was home with my family. The subject was that I always get what I want as if by magic, but it's more than that.

I thought about it and decided that I get what I want AND need by pure luck.

Examples: I needed a new laptop for school my old one broke. At home it was used to play videos through my T.V. Well come tax time I got the Laptop I needed (for School), but it was HDMI not the S-video I wanted for my T.V. having windows 7 on the new Laptop I decided and told myself I needed an xbox 360 both for gaming and for wireless video streaming without having to connect and disconnect the laptop. A few day's later my father in-law gave me his broken 360. I called MS and they said to send it in and they would repair it. They sent a new one because they could not repair it.

As I look back in my life this has been the norm I don't always get it right now but I do always get it. On a side note I do donate a lot of things I find I no longer need or want. I have given far more than I have gotten it feels like fate smiles after a generous spree of giving.

In the example above days before I gave a few friends things they needed badly one needed $ another needed the ram from my old laptop another I felt he could use my old stereo. (I don't have a stereo anymore, because of the newborn, but I have headphones which he found walking home one day) Is this normal?

I don't think you understand this was only one incident. My father was abusive beyond belief I want to get away far far away. about a month later my mom showed up in the picture but this was only after I convinced myself that I was going to get away. prior to that nothing no calls from her nothing for over 2 years. while I was living with my dad. I had a pair of shoes that needed to be replaced he said they were fine but I knew better sometime in the fall I was pulled out of class by a teacher who with her own money purchased me new shoes. I needed AND wanted them. That the thing I've wanted things I did not need I've needed things I did not want but when the two came together I'd get it. Take my wife I wanted to date her in high school so bad it hurt but I did not need her at the time. Later in life I still wanted her then one day I had a really bad breakup I needed a friend I wanted to see her. I did nothing out of the ordinary except I moved in with some friends and she showed up with one of my roommates GF's she didn't even know I lived there. She stayed the night and we married a little over a year later. like I said always wanted never really needed then I needed her I was going to kill myself that night nobody knew, but she was the catalyst for seeking help for my medical illness. Want and need the two together makes things happen in my life that I cannot explain other than fate.

This incident alone does not mean you are unnaturally lucky! That 360 experience happens to a lot of people. We need more proof of your luck!
