Is it normal to always get razor burn "down there"

Okay, so i've been shaving "down there" for about 3 years now and every single time i do, i get cut or it gets all bumpy like razor burn. I've tried different razors and tried using different shaving creams, no shaving cream, mens razors, mens shaving cream. Everything. But it always ends up like that :/

I think a woman who has hair down there is extremely sexy. It shows confidence in her body... Don't shave on others accounts, especially if it's causing you pain!!!

A good way to remove hair is to get an epilator, it's a handheld electric tool that safely tweezes many hairs at the same time, less likely to leave those nasty itchy painful bumps that we all HATE. u can get one real cheap as cheap as 15 that know of at Ulta. Also use a product called TendSkin it prevents ingrown hairs u can buy at Sallys Beauty Supply, or use a product called Bump Stopper u can get at Walgreens comes in a lil jar, I hope this helps! :)

Ugh I know how you feel. I always get razor burn whenever I shave down there, and it takes weeks to heal. It makes me feel embarrassed when I go swimming because I don't want people to think I'm "diseased" or anything.

"most people don't really care" LMAO are you kidding me?! Hairy vaginas are fucking gross!

It will go away with time and shaving in the direction the hair grows. I still get it on my neck though :/

relax yourself sparky. Yes, most mature people don't care too much. I'm not saying go all out bush-woman, I'm just saying you don't have to look like a ten year old girl down there either. Grow up!

I find the idea of a "hairy vagina" very attractive, thank you. I know, I know, I'm weird :P

perhaps you should consider trying trimming instead of shaving.

Yes, it's normal to get bumps and razor burns which is exactly why you should stop shaving and waxing it. Leave it be and let it grow out. The hair is there for a reason. It's to regulate the temperature, protect it from diseases, and to also prevent chafing. Shaving doesn't keep it any cleaner. In fact, razor burns and bumps actually make it more susceptible to yeast infections. It's nothing a little soap and hot water won't take care of.

Also of course before hair removal take a hot shower and even better tgey make epilators that you can use in water I know Brauns makes one.

  • If it's that bad, you should use a personal-sized battery operated trimmer on dry skin. It won't give you the "hairless" look because the hairs will still be a millimeter or two long, but it will still look acceptable without the burn and red spots. If you want the bare look only, get laser hair removal. A friend of mine had it done in her pits and said it was a bit painful but very worth it.

Well, its sensitive stuff down there. Try shaving in the direction of the hair growth, as opposed to 'against the grain' or don't shave at all. Most people don't really care.
