Is it normal to always forget that other people are alive?

I forget all of the time that other people have feelings, can actually feel pain, and that they are actually living. Its hard to explain I guess but I feel like everyone else is fake and I'm the only real one.

Not normal. But normal "as a product of society" that produced you and many others like you. Partly society to blame.

I agree with you, that it is a prevalent symptom of some of our modern societies, that causes this.

People sometimes feel removed from society, and not a part of society.

It's just classic egocentricity. You need to be more in-tune with other people. You have to want to know them and like them.

You are this way because it doesn't matter what other people feel. Only your feelings are important. I wish i could turn off the empathy switch in my brain. You're 100% normal.
