Is it normal to always feel bloated? i can't eat anymore

This has only been going on for the past few months. I used to have the biggest appetite and eat whatever I want when I wanted. I have fast metabolism, so I take it for granted sometimes when it comes to junk food I love. I am only able to eat only a few bites of food during every meal, and my parents are starting to notice and my mom has even talked about going to the doctor(which I hate).

Feeling bloated isn't the only problem. For at least the past month, I have had dizzy spells that have lasted for at least 10-20min every day and I even start to feel sick to my stomach(I know for sure I'm not pregnant, since I don't date men so that's out...) My blood pressure is normally 80/60. I have always been prone to fainting but these feelings are absolutely horrible.

My parents have been starting to notice that I haven't been eating enough, and they're even buying foods I love the most just so I'd eat something. I maybe able to eat half of the meal as opposed to 5-10 bites? I'll be 21 in a couple weeks. I heard that's the time when your body goes through a lot of changes, or is that just an old tale? Sorry for the long post, just concerned. Should I tell my family?

You should really see a doctor. That isn't a normal part of getting older.

If you generally have low blood pressure that could very easily be causing the dizzy spells. You really are going to have to suck it up and go see a doctor, if you're eating so little you're getting lightheaded and feeling sick something needs to be done. Malnutrition can only go on for so long before it starts to have some serious health reprecussions.

Not the same problem but a few years back I was having trouble eating, gagging on my food or feeling sore and sick after eating. My blood pressure is usually around the 90/60 range and I would get rather lightheaded during the time I was sick and not eating very much.

  • That doesn't seem healthy at all. You should really get yourself into see a physician soon. It could be nothing, but what if it is something serious. What if you put off getting medical attention for too long and it does permanent harm to your body - whereas if you simply took care of yourself now, you might have been okay. Get it checked out.

As much as you hate the doctor, it would be best to go see them. I hate doctors too, but lately I've been having to see them a lot, and they're just there to help you (:
