Is it normal to always crave sushi and sashimi?

I've never had sushi or sashimi or any other type of Japanese food before, even though I enjoy watching anime, Japanese superheroes, Japanese samurai movies, and Japanese monster movies like Godzilla and Gamera. I always wanted to try sushi, but I didn't know of any good Japanese restaurants in my area, but after doing some research I was able to find a Japanese restaurant a few months ago. First time I went, I tried some octopus sushi which was actually delicious. Then a week later I went back and had some squid sushi and octopus sashimi for the first time. Ever since then I'd be craving sushi and sashimi all the time. Especially the octopus sashimi, I mean I can't get enough of that. Sometimes when I go to that Japanese restaurant, I get the urge to just order every piece of sushi on the menu, but of course I don't have enough cash with me for that. Every time I get hungry, sushi is all I can think about eating. Even right now.

It's certainly not normal, but then again there's nothing wrong with it either.
I have, at several times in my life, considered marrying a Japanese girl, just so I can eat the food as often as I pleased.
But then at other times it was an Indian girl for curries, or a French girl for that food, etc. I don't understand why I don't weigh a thousand pounds; I love all types of food, except MacDonalds/Burger King/Wendy's, etc. Fast food SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's normal to crave a type of food you don't normally have available to you, cash or region otherwise. Sushi is expensive in Japan too!

Well I love sushi, but not that much lol. I'm sure I wouldn't dislike eating it every day but maybe you need to broaden your horizons. Plenty of other good food out there besides sushi. Have you tried dim sum?

Yeah, sushi is delicious, and since it's new, it's especially intriguing to you. But like anything, eventually it will lose it's spark. It'll still taste great, but you won't be craving it alll the time.

sushi and sashimi is the best food you can eat, it contains every single nutrient that the human body requires.

Raw fish: ultimate sauce of protien and omega 3 fatty acids
    rice: carbs
    seaweed: vitamin every thing

of course your body is going to crave it after you eat it.

See if you can find a resturant called 168 sushi, its a sushi buffet! Or try to find something similar. Theyre not too expensive.

It's Chinese. Very traditional, usually eaten around lunch time. It's pan fried and boiled dumplings along with a bunch of other interesting things. It sounds simple and boring but I swear to God it's one of the best things out there. Just try it out one day, take some friends or a girlfriend or your Mom. I can't decide which one I like better.

If you go for REAL dim sum you might want someone who knows the food with you. I'm not gonna say the food is bad, in fact some of it is fantastic, but those interesting things you speak of can get a bit too interesting.

Yes it's normal to see food and then crave it. That's the simple answer.

Really though, you should just go out and try some sushi. You can buy it from the supermarket even. It's not nearly as good as stuff made by real sushi chef's, but it'll give you an idea of whether or not you'll like sushi. A good "starter" sushi is California rolls. They have avocado and fake crab meat, they're really good.
