Is it normal to always count the dashes in roads while you're in a car

Ever since I was really little, I've had this thing where when I'm in a car, I have to push down my first 2 toes each time that a dash in the road, trees, cars, or anything, pass by. Specifically, whatever object I'm counting or tapping to, I count it right as it passes through either the dashboard (this would apply to the dashes in the road), or when they pass through the bar that supports the windows in your car. I don't know how to explain it. But this is a really obsessive habit of mine and I was wondering if anyone else does this.

    I used to do that. I guess you just want something to do. As long as you're not driving it is fine.

    I do this all the time but only with my big toe, and no, I don't have OCD

    Sounds obsessive-compulsive, but you might not be. Sometimes people just have harmless habits, maybe little personality quirks. I think I'm obsessive-compulsive. I do things like count how many words are in a sentence in a book, but things like that usually don't stop me from functioning in a healthy way day-to-day.

    If you're the one driving and do the same counting or tapping thing, but you know you can focus on the road and it's obvious that counting doesn't affect your driving, then fine I think, but still be careful if you're doing it while driving. I'm just cautious, so it depends on you, not me. I couldn't handle driving while multitasking.

    I always do this. I don't really count, so much as just move my toe or a finger very slightly whenever the line passes under or beside the car.

    lol yeah i did this to
    when i was little id also imagine someone jumping from tree to tree or dodging in between cars etc.

    I did this to!
    Sometimes i even used my finger to play as a video gamer character and let it dodge the trees and stuff that came by.
