Is it normal to always confused?

Is it normal that my parents were never around when I was growing up, so now I am perpetually confused and awkward around people? And I often have no idea what to do with myself?

i'm not sure if your issue has to do with your mom/dad's parenting skills.

at any rate, being social comes naturally to some, no so much to others.

it is a skill that somehow we all manage to learn, although some more successful than others.

practice makes perfect, so i suggest you get out there with friends and start developing your charms. good luck

How does the title relate to the question?

  • No, it does have to do with my parents. Completely absent parents--> not having any idea how to act!! I have experienced it firsthand, I have seen it in others, and I have met many social people who agree.

But thanks, your advice sounds pretty good. Practice does make perfect!! :) It's hard, but making mistakes is the only way to improve.

Did you not have any social interactions at school? That's actually a young person's main source of social development.
