I'm an everyday shopper, here and there, everywhere. But all I ever seem to buy is name brand clothes and shoes such as: Nike, Sperry Top Sider, Hollister, Amearican Eagle, Abercrombie and fitch, Aeropostale. I only wear it to show off in because it's the fashion now days, and everyone seems to wear them. Is it normal?
Well, those stores wouldn't be successful if nobody shopped at them.
Almost everyone has a desire to dress a certain way to show the world who they are or who they want to appear to be. Some people shop only at thrift stores, putting out the message that they are frugal and reject the corporate image. Some people like to shop at the stores you do because they want people to think they are fashionable. Some like couture because it's like wearing a piece of art. And some people like to buy their clothes at Wal-Mart because it's cheap and they don't give a shit what other people think about them; they value practicality over vanity.
To each their own, but it is all just about vanity.
Really? That's kinda funny how I don't see those brands as "brand names". shit, I thought you were taking about Hugo boss, gucci, LV, Armani, Burberry. Lmao you broke mofucker...
First off, I have to say that sloppy hoodies with the brand name/logo all over it is NOT fashion, it's advertisement.
It's normal if you're a newly-budded teenager with very little to set you apart from the crowd. But hey, if you think it suits you, go ahead and work that hoodie and prewrap. Just please don't call it 'current fashion'.

Only if you like paying inflated prices as per designer clothing, and name brands. Unless the name brands are very reasonably priced, you're wasting your money.

At my high school, right now uggs and showing off your boobs is and straightening your hair everyday is 'in' also skinny jeans[approved] and jeggings. But honestly... Who cares about what's in?? I'd rather be comfy in a sweater and my favorite pair of jeans... I've met a few cute guys who think I look good comfortable.(;
^ agree. I hate that shit- hoodies with the brand on them or sweatpants with the name on the ass.
But, I only buy good clothing. BCBG mainly. Because they are good clothes, they are well made, and they keep their shape. But abercrombie is not fashion.
