Is it normal to always be serious and never laugh, smile, or joke?

So have a friend at work, seems to be always serious!!! Every time people are always laughing and trying to have a good time and smile. He’ll just sort of stare at us all with a serious face then go about doing something else?? Is that normal to always be serious and to never laugh or joke around??

    He’s probably depressed or has some other unknown problem. My good friend always has a blank expression, he tells me that he’s happy only it’s hard for him to show emotion so all he can display is a blank face.

    Yes it's normal, i had a flat face even when i feel happy

    It's normal, not everybody is happy, especially as you get a little older and things don't always work out well.
