Is it normal to act so different with people i'm not comfortable with?

There's very few people that I actually feel like I can be myself when I'm with them. Basically my immediate family, my boyfriend, and my best friend. Everyone else that I encounter I act like a totally different person. When I'm with new people, or people I don't see on a weekly basis, I'm really shy, polite, and conscientious. Whereas when I'm with my family, boyfriend, or best friend I'm loud, sarcastic, and very moody. Is it normal to act so opposite when I'm with different people?

normal. well in your case. In my case it's all fucked up. Around new people I act nuts. Loud, funny, goofy and careless. They literally think I'm a crazy person after day one. Around my friends I'm really shy though and hate saying things without being asked and doing things without being told.

We're like complete opposites. The way you act around new people is how I act around friends, and the way you act around friends is how I act around new people. That is a little weird though, it seems like you'd be more comfortable around your friends.

I guess I don't give a shit what strangers think about me but I DO care what my friends think of me :/ I don't even know but that's my best guess haha.
