Is it normal to act poorly when unable to have sex often enough?

Sometimes life and circumstances get in the way, I know this logically.
While after a week my attitude is still sweetly, 'You are worth waiting for.' by a week and a half I become moody and then that moves into actual meaness as time goes on.
is it normal to act so poorly when we are unable to have sex as often as usual?
